Ok, this is most likely something very basic, buyt niehtrer me or a friend could solve this...We want to tak the background, behind the news items ans blocks and make it black. We have not been able to find it in the css anywhere, and changing BodyBG.jpg black has only change a little bit of it. Help?!?!

looks like the news has a hardcoded background image in template/news/index.html you'll need to change. sometimes i hardcode things and forget about doing css. the blocks looks like they are hardcoded with an image background as well in header and footer.html

i've updated the theme with a new xhtml compliant version and took out most of the hardcoded elements and added them to css. you shouldn't have any issues editing it through css now.

so you just updated it this moment? or is it the samne as the one I donloaded yesterday? Because ive done alot of image work and dont want to fry that out.

ok the file structure inside that zip is weird
the theme is there 2 times, and Im not sure which one to use
and if I used the right one, I still cant change it

It's not there 2 times. It just includes a deeper directory structure. I realize it's not the normal structure for my themes but I didn't port that theme Jzky did. I'm just mirroring it because I did the red port and the blue port is an offshoot of that. There I repacked it again for ya with my normal structure. Wink

Files changed from the version you have are:
/template/header.html
/template/footer.html
/template/news/index.html

Most likely you've made some changes to the header.html to create your custom header. Those changes will need to be redone with the new header.html You'll see the difference once you open it. Nothing major just some css work and ripping out some hardcoded html.

Im hoping I just wasnt explaining myeslf well...I havent really done alot ot the header, its a different issue. I attached a screenshot showing what I am trying to get totally black

You are looking for the .maintable class.
