Just added this one to my site and I love it. I noticed however, that some of the forum edit buttons, for eg. insert web page, are not functional on my site like the other themes I installed, which makes me think I missed something in the install as I can see it works fine on yours. Any thoughts on which files are in the wrong place maybe?

Reviewed install and appears all files in distro are in right place. Perhaps distro is missing something?

I see it working here and am befuddled why its not working at my site. Downloaded the package as is without modifications:

My pic of web page is here

Mouseovers and functionality of these buttons is non-existent with this theme only. All other themes on my site do not have this problem.

Just to be sure I deleted the theme and re-installed with same issues..

you mean the buttons for bbcode? i dont see any missing in that pic. exactly which ones are missing. try replacing the current forum template (hardwired/templates/forums/) with cpgnuke/template/forums/ and see if that fixes the issue temporarily. if that doesn't fix it then it's something with your install. possibly try reloading your include/nbbcode.php.

The buttons are there, they just dont function when mouseovered or clicked. Ive checked the same buttons using other themes and mouseovers and function work when clicked. I tried substituting forum template from other theme with same result. Deleted and reuploaded the theme, cleared the cache, with same result. I'm at a loss...

These are the errors I see reported when attempting to post:

Quote:
cache/tpl_Hardwired_forums#posting_attach_body.html.inc

* Notice line 24: Undefined index: POSTED_ATTACHMENTS_BODY

cache/tpl_Hardwired_forums#posting_body.html.inc

* Notice line 22: Undefined index: POST_PREVIEW_BOX
* Notice line 23: Undefined index: ERROR_BOX
* Notice line 63: Undefined index:
* Notice line 166: Undefined index: JUMPBOX
* Notice line 170: Undefined index: TOPIC_REVIEW_BOX

And if I clear the cache this error is reported:

Quote:
includes/classes/template.php(102) : eval()'d code

* Notice line 24: Undefined index: POSTED_ATTACHMENTS_BODY
* Notice line 22: Undefined index: POST_PREVIEW_BOX
* Notice line 23: Undefined index: ERROR_BOX
* Notice line 63: Undefined index:
* Notice line 166: Undefined index: JUMPBOX
* Notice line 170: Undefined index: TOPIC_REVIEW_BOX

When I select another theme and attempt to post a reply, I do not see the first error message but do see the second. Does that help?

I added the four files mentioned to my installation. Had not done that yet, as my admin page said I was up to date except for deleting install.php. Having done that hasn't affected this problem that I can see - same error messages.

Don't think it has to do with the themes because I see it across all themes and all sites. Unless I've been repeating the same error across everything I do which is highly unlikely. I'd ask about it over at df. Not sure. Sorry.

I just finished searching DF for any similar issues and found this post. When I get home where I can more easily clear the cache, I'll try disabling blocks on the site and see if that makes a difference.

Updated the download. Not much else I can do other then clean up the layout issues and errant code. Wish I could be more helpful other than that no clue.

Your latest changes fixed the problem I was having. Not sure if you meant to or it was inadvertent but highlighting of forum topics changed - now only the text of the topic title changes color when mouseovered. Theres a subtle change to the layout that I can't put a finger on but I think the way the center column is layed out looks slightly different. Good work DJ!

I replaced the entire forum template. Didn't realize I'd gone in an customized it with the rollover effects. I'll add them back in. So it's all fixed?

I believe all problems with the bbcode and emoticons are fixed. In the process tho you lost the rollover effect when mousing over forum topics retaining only the text rollover. After talking to some of my users who saw the original forum I have a recommendation:

Having the rollover effect + the mouseover the text effects is confusing. My forum currently looks like yours with the mouseover effect on the text of the topic. I would suggest that you eliminate the mouseover effect on the text and cause the rollover effect that shades the whole row be clickable instead of the text. If you dont want that for you're release would you consider providing for just my site?
